Transparency International Russia in exile (TIR in exile)<\/strong> is a group of independent international experts that continues the work of Transparency International Russia, a closed Russian non-profit organisation.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

On March 6, 2023, the Transparency International movement was recognised as an \u201cundesirable organisation\u201d within Russian territory. Transparency International Russia had been a separate national non-profit legal entity registered under Russian law and could not be recognised as \u201cundesirable.\u201d\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

The decision adopted by the General Prosecutor\u2019s office and the practice of implementing \u201cundesirable\u201d laws made Transparency International Russia’s work impossible. Therefore, the Council of Transparency International Russia decided to liquidate the Russian legal entity in March 2023. The Federal Revenue Service made the relevant entry in the Register on September 18, 2023.<\/span><\/p>\n

The experts, experienced and acquired broad knowledge over the years, adhered to the Mission – to counteract corruption and uphold the principles of transparency, accountability, integrity, and honesty. The expert group continues the work from abroad, establishing Transparency International Russia in exile.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Transparency International Russia in exile remains part of Transparency International, an international movement founded in 1993. The movement brings together more than 100 independent organisations around the world.<\/span><\/p>\n

Transparency International Russia, in exile, continues to work to counter corruption in Russia and decrease the tolerance for it among Russian citizens. Corruption is the abuse of entrusted power for personal gain.<\/span><\/p>\n

The experts of Transparency International Russia in exile express their strong condemnation of the current militarisation and infringement of human rights in Russia. The experts believe that the war conflicts are unacceptable and are increasing military and political tensions worldwide.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n
